In 1982, Lawrence B. Garcia opened the doors to Aztec Global Security. He proudly provided Security and Investigative services in the Central Valley and Bay area. In 1997, A.G.S was honored by the City and State of California as Minority Service Firm of the Year. Lawrence B. Garcia was a 14-year Veteran of San Joaquin Valley Law Enforcement, and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He conducted his business with the prinicples of: chain of command, mission readiness, personnel selection, training and timeliness.

In November of 2000, Lawrence D. Garcia took over A.G.S.; he is also a United States Navy Veteran and has Police Academy training as well as ambulance and emergency room experience. Following the same business principles, Lawrence has made a smooth transition as a business owner. In 2003, Lawrence changed the business name to AmeriGuard Security and continued to the develop the business while developing a nationwide recognition as a security firm within the Federal government arena.

AmeriGuard is very selective in regards to who we employ. Our officers undergo an extensive background check through the FBI and the Department of Justice. They are trained annually on First Aid, CPR, and most have a minimum of 120 hours of advanced training administered by Federal Protective Service/GSA. Our officers are fully certified through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Service (B.S.I.S.).
