AmeriGuard Security Services does not hire just anyone to be a Security Officer. Our officers all undergo an extensive background check; they are trained annually on First Aid, CPR, firearms and most receive a minimum of 120 hours of advanced training administered by Federal Protective Service/GSA. Our officers are fully certified through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Service (B.S.I.S.).

All Ameriguard Security Officers receive extensive training in firearms and safety. They must pass an exhaustive annual examination and be requalified every 6 months.

Although thorough firearms training is important, sometimes it is just as important to know when not to use a weapon. Our officers are given extensive training on negotiation, situation analysis, firearms, competency, verbal judo, negotiating threats, and non-aggressive response. They are trained to use their heads when dealing with a situation and not to rely only on a threat of force.
